I photographed the images you are viewing during a career I had in sports photography in the mid 1970's and into the 1980's. I consider the classic professional wrestling images more as theater as opposed to athletics, except these actors really bleed, really suffer broken limbs, and, as often as not, are really attacked and abused by members of the audience.
